My story

My path to holistic wellness began in 2017 whilst training for the London marathon. Despite extensive stretching, massaging, and pummelling, I was struggling with a persistent calf knot and turned to a sports therapist who recommended kinesiology therapy. Within just two hours, this grounded, nutrition based approach to alternative medicine provided me with the effective tools and insights I needed. By implementing these natural remedies, I saw transformative results: the knot disappeared within 72 hours and I felt lighter, more energetic, and had my bounce back in my step.  Originally from the UK, Louise has been living abroad since 2018 and relocated to Peru and Colombia in 2024. Dedicated to marine conservation, her career faced a setback in 2022 when Louise sustained type I & II decompression injuries, which required recompression therapy and heart surgery to close a Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO).

During her recovery, Louise developed chronic illness and fatigue that lasted over 18 months, caused by a weakened immune system and compounded by intensive pharmaceutical treatments for bacterial infections, gut issues and long COVID.

Turning back to her belief in ‘food as medicine,’ she applied the kinesiology principles she had previously learned during her marathon training. By integrating these holistic therapy and stress reduction techniques into her lifestyle, she not only overcame her health challenges but she managed to get back in the water, retie her running shoes and move forward with joy.

Having rich experience as a team technical diver, Michelin pastry chef, somatic yoga teacher and forager for Herbalists without Borders, her recovery reaffirmed her commitment to wellness, herbal medicine and the power of good food. Louise decided to leave diving to retrain in kinesiology with the prestigious TASK Academy in the UK and Thai Yoga Massage to locate and effectively use the tools needed for self-empowered healing with clear answers that foster true well-being.
